Review the agreed result
- Doors travel normally within the supplied guides.
- Stops and included soft-close parts are addressed.
- Interior drawers remain accessible.
- Damage and unresolved compatibility issues are documented.
Assessment checks the exact door width, height, panel material, track system and compatibility with the wardrobe. It reviews frame alignment, floor variation, ceiling clearance and existing damage. Glass or mirrored panels require careful handling. The assessment also distinguishes a new door fit from repair of a partly assembled or previously altered track arrangement.
Keep the completion sequence clear
The team checks the frame and delivered door components before fitting the rails and panels in the manufacturer order. Adjustment follows only after compatibility and frame condition are addressed. The handover demonstrates normal travel and stops, checks access to interior drawers and records any residual rubbing, damaged panel or incomplete soft-close feature.
Sliding-door fitting excludes repairing cracked glass, reshaping damaged rails or modifying incompatible wardrobe frames without separate assessment. Soft-close faults are not resolved by removing essential stops. If a panel cannot remain properly guided through normal travel, use should pause until the underlying component or alignment issue has been identified and resolved.
Care after the visit
Keep tracks clear using the manufacturer care method and do not force a door over an obstruction. Report repeated rubbing, abnormal movement or loose guides before damage increases. Changing floor covering or moving the wardrobe can affect alignment. Reassess the installation after those changes instead of compensating indefinitely with further roller adjustment.
Rails, wheels, guides, stops and soft-close units must belong to the specified door system. Different generations can look similar but work differently. Glass and mirror panels need their original compatible frame parts. Damaged edges or uncertain replacement panels require manufacturer clarification; improvised guides should not be used to conceal a compatibility problem.
Keep a record of an unresolved item
Compare the result with the approved written scope. Record any unfinished item, agreed exclusion or required specialist follow-up separately. Use ordinary observation and the provider’s demonstration; do not overload or destructively test an installation.
- Door and wardrobe product labels.
- Complete frame front and ceiling clearance.
- Tracks, wheels and any chipped panel edge.
Planning example
The doors slide smoothly when the wardrobe is empty, but a newly installed drawer cannot clear the panel overlap. At review the owner opens the actual interiors through their usable doorway. This distinguishes door movement from practical storage access. The unresolved conflict is addressed through the compatible layout rather than forcing the drawer, removing a stop or accepting a finished appearance with a blocked compartment.
Downtown Toronto context
A home near Union Station or CityPlace may have separate lobby and loading entrances. Include the actual service route, postal code and any building permissions. See the downtown focus perimeter and GTA enquiry guide before requesting a date.
