Review the agreed result
- Both access arrangements were confirmed.
- Inventory is reconciled at destination.
- Delays and changes are recorded.
- Keys and access devices reach the right person.
Collect loading rules, elevator windows, suite access arrangements and site contacts for both properties. Confirm who can authorize decisions if the resident cannot be present at each location.
Keep the completion sequence clear
Confirm destination readiness before departure, reconcile the loading inventory and communicate delays early. On arrival, direct items to labelled rooms before the crew begins moving furniture through completed areas.
A service provider cannot guarantee possession, public-road conditions or a building’s unapproved extension. Storage, overnight holding or an additional trip must be discussed explicitly rather than assumed.
Care after the visit
Reconcile the two-address checklist, check for items left behind and confirm access devices are returned correctly. Keep unresolved claims separate from the simple fact that transport has finished.
Use a shared inventory, room labels and an accessible contact sheet. Protect personal access information and distinguish owner-held essentials from items travelling in the main vehicle.
Keep a record of an unresolved item
Compare the result with the approved written scope. Record any unfinished item, agreed exclusion or required specialist follow-up separately. Use ordinary observation and the provider’s demonstration; do not overload or destructively test an installation.

Planning example
At the destination, the resident reconciles labelled furniture and cartons against the origin list before the crew departs. A small item left in the first suite is recorded separately with an agreed retrieval decision. Access devices reach the correct owner, and a delay is logged against the actual timeline. Arrival alone is not treated as proof that every responsibility at both properties has been completed.
Downtown Toronto context
A home near Union Station or CityPlace may have separate lobby and loading entrances. Include the actual service route, postal code and any building permissions. See the downtown focus perimeter and GTA enquiry guide before requesting a date.
