Review the agreed result
- Cartons and product identities are reconciled.
- Missing and damaged items are listed separately.
- Uncertain components have clear supplier questions.
- Assembly authorization is recorded for each complete item.
Assessment compares package labels, the packing list, panel identifiers and hardware illustrations against the exact order. It separates an unopened shipment from a partly built item. Electrical accessories, unusual lifting mechanisms and unclear load information are flagged for manufacturer clarification; the service does not infer compliance or certification from appearance or country of origin.
Keep the completion sequence clear
The agreed sequence photographs package labels, opens cartons in a traceable order and reconciles the contents with the packing documents. Findings are divided into complete, damaged, missing and uncertain items. Assembly is authorized only for clearly identified products with sufficient instructions and components, and the remaining supplier questions are recorded separately.
Inventory is not product certification, engineering approval or a guarantee that an unfamiliar mechanism is safe. The service should not fabricate missing structural pieces simply to finish the appointment. Appliances and powered accessories may need independent qualified review. Any assembly continuation is subject to the documented instructions and agreed task boundaries.
Care after the visit
Retain the inventory and labelled hardware with the remaining cartons until the supplier resolves the issue. Check replacement shipments against the recorded identifiers before rebooking assembly. Do not discard the original manual after translation; illustrations and part codes may be needed later even when the explanatory text is difficult to read.
An inventory records supplied panels, fittings, tools and accessory packs without assuming similar-looking hardware is equivalent. Thread sizes, connector lengths and hinge patterns may differ from familiar retail products. Replacement selection depends on identifiable specifications. Where the supplier cannot identify a critical component, assembly may have to wait for an authorized solution.
Keep a record of an unresolved item
Compare the result with the approved written scope. Record any unfinished item, agreed exclusion or required specialist follow-up separately. Use ordinary observation and the provider’s demonstration; do not overload or destructively test an installation.
- Every package label and order reference.
- Hardware packs with identifiers visible.
- Damage shown with the corresponding carton and panel code.
Planning example
After the inventory, four units are identified as complete and one tall cabinet has an unexplained bracket missing. The report separates those findings rather than treating the whole shipment as either successful or unusable. The owner can authorize work on clearly identified products and seek supplier clarification for the remaining cabinet, keeping the unresolved question visible rather than allowing it to disappear during assembly.
Downtown Toronto context
A home near Union Station or CityPlace may have separate lobby and loading entrances. Include the actual service route, postal code and any building permissions. See the downtown focus perimeter and GTA enquiry guide before requesting a date.
