Packing & unpacking service scope · All job topics
Review the agreed result
- Device identity and existing damage are recorded.
- Cables are labelled to their devices.
- Screen surfaces have suitable protection.
- Essential chargers remain with the owner.
List screens, computers, consoles and accessories by device. Record existing display damage and ask which equipment has original packaging, mounting arrangements or manufacturer-specific transport requirements.
Keep the completion sequence clear
Document connections, disconnect only the agreed equipment, label paired cables and protect devices individually. Keep small remotes and mounting hardware assigned to the correct unit.
Packing does not promise data recovery, network installation or safe removal of every wall mount. Hard-wired systems and specialist audiovisual arrangements need an appropriately qualified provider.
Care after the visit
Let equipment adjust to indoor conditions and follow its manufacturer’s restart instructions. Check cables before powering devices and retain packaging until agreed arrival checks are complete.
Use packaging suited to each screen or device, with protected corners and separated accessories. A generic carton description should not replace a decision about vulnerable display surfaces.
Keep a record of an unresolved item
Compare the result with the approved written scope. Record any unfinished item, agreed exclusion or required specialist follow-up separately. Use ordinary observation and the provider’s demonstration; do not overload or destructively test an installation.

Planning example
At handover, the resident checks device labels, photographs and cable bags before discarding any packaging. A monitor has arrived but its power adapter is in a different carton, so the missing accessory is traced before the move is signed off. Restarting follows the equipment manufacturer’s instructions. A physical arrival check is kept distinct from testing home networking or troubleshooting an existing software problem.
Downtown Toronto context
A home near Union Station or CityPlace may have separate lobby and loading entrances. Include the actual service route, postal code and any building permissions. See the downtown focus perimeter and GTA enquiry guide before requesting a date.
