TV wall mounting service scope · All job topics
Review the agreed result
- Screen placement accepted from normal seating
- Visible cable method and included devices recorded
- Connections remain accessible as agreed
- Electrical work excluded or separately referred
Review seating positions, screen dimensions, window glare, furniture heights and the existing outlets. Inventory the devices and connections that must remain accessible. Distinguish a visible surface cable arrangement from any proposed electrical changes, and confirm the wall and bracket suitability through their separate assessments.
Keep the completion sequence clear
Agree on the screen position and visible cable path before installation, then confirm the included devices and products. Complete only the accepted non-electrical arrangement and demonstrate ordinary device access. If the preferred result requires a new outlet or concealed mains work, obtain an appropriate separate electrical proposal.
The handyman scope excludes new outlets, electrical wiring and hiding ordinary mains leads inside wall cavities. A decorative raceway does not authorize an otherwise unsuitable electrical arrangement. Fireplaces, inaccessible heights and restricted building components may require a different placement or further specialist assessment.
Care after the visit
Keep ventilation spaces and accessible connections clear, and avoid pinching cables when moving furniture or an articulated mount. Reassess the route when equipment changes. Ongoing power needs should be addressed with an appropriate permanent electrical solution through a Licensed Electrical Contractor rather than a growing chain of extension cords.
Surface cable covers, suitable connection cables and device supports should be identified as separate components. Product selection depends on the actual cables, finish and access requirements. Standard TV power cords and extension cords are not included for concealment inside walls; any outlet work needs a separately arranged licensed contractor.
Keep a record of an unresolved item
Compare the result with the approved written scope. Record any unfinished item, agreed exclusion or required specialist follow-up separately. Use ordinary observation and the provider’s demonstration; do not overload or destructively test an installation.
- Room from the main seating position
- Wall showing existing outlets and furniture
- All devices and cable connection locations
Planning example
The owner reviews the screen from the usual seat and checks that the included devices remain accessible for ordinary use. The cable route is inspected for the accepted appearance and freedom from furniture pinching. A future new outlet is recorded as separate electrical work, not an unfinished handyman promise. Photographs and device references preserve the agreed arrangement if equipment or furniture changes later.
Downtown Toronto context
A home near Union Station or CityPlace may have separate lobby and loading entrances. Include the actual service route, postal code and any building permissions. See the downtown focus perimeter and GTA enquiry guide before requesting a date.
